The Car's story

I have owned muscle/classic cars in the past. In high school I owned a 70 Mercury Cougar with a 351 Cleveland 4 barrel engine, I spent every dime I had on it.  Later I purchased two 67 Firebirds,(see pic below), the first one I had for a year or two, and the second, I had for about seven, but always liked the style of the 69 Z-28. It was a true muscle car from the factory no doubt about that.  I found it in Tucson Arizona. I was talking to a friend about my Firebird and how much money it was going to cost me to restore it, and that I was looking for something I could put my money into, and maybe get some out if I ever sold it down the road. He then told me he was selling his 69 Z-28. He had to sell it becuase he was about to get divorced and couldn't afford to keep it. He also told me he had just put $3000 (in parts into the engine) and it ran great. A plus because I was about to do that to the bird and it was going to cost at least that. So I looked at it, went to the bank, and had a new car...I knew I would have to sell the 67 Bird, but it was time to move on...although I did have both in the garage for 5 months.  Good conversation topic "should I keep both cars" with my friends, 90% said yes my wallet said "NO"... I finally sold the bird to a guy in Washington and started a plan of attack for the Z-28.  The Z was not taken care of, (besides the engine being rebuilt,) the suspension was never touched and it showed...it was all over road, not fun to drive at all. So that was the first project and then the rear. The interior was in pretty good shape other then a few minor things...Well for more info, click on "The project" on my main page...
